They're a good breed the Oman women. Young Hannah who works with us is the queen of cupcakes. She's been baking for us for wedding celebrations, births and birthdays! Even catering to our bizarre dietary requirements - see dairy free dark chocolate and raspberry cakes above. Cheryl baked us homemade coconut bread this week and Kathleen helped us select our new red studio chairs. Thanks Oman ladies - we love you!

Earth Day - Today!
Happy Earth Day! Here at Polli we’re celebrating Mother Earth by doing our best to preserve it. It’s the little things you do that make a difference – like preparing a communal lunch to save on packaging or catching public transport to work. We’re lucky enough to have the talented Sherri Hilario cooking our lunch each day. Sherri has started a herb garden here at the Polli studio, she buys our food at the local co op and even carries our compost waste home... on the bus!

Material Girls
We're so proud of our fellow Sydney designers - Dandi - who are getting some awesome media coverage for their beautiful homewares line. Dandi have been creating beautiful napery and homewares for serveral years. We love our Dandi ironing board covers - thanks girls! x
Knott Again!
Our stunning David Knott Dracaena lights are up in the studio! They look fantastic and to celebrate their arrival we've changed our front window graphics to a shrine of all things Knott. Floating like beautiful sea creatures from the timber ceiling they greet us as we enter each day. Thanks Dave! xx
Coolmompicks.com
We were thrilled to have our Black Anodized Rose Bud Pendant featured on Coolmompicks.com this week. They feature some great products including the beautifully colourful Danish Rosenberg bags which we spied Asger&Mum importing into Australia last month!

We Heart Tivi
This is a very belated thank you to Paul (of Tivi) and this wonderful wife, Dori, for showing us around Chicago last month. It was great to see the Tivi HQ, meet local celebrities (Eric!), head to their local (complete with old school photobooth) and taste the many culinary extremes the city has to offer! We were lost without these guys!

Tea Time
Polli put the kettle on... to top off tea time at Polli Barbara Sargent has knitted us two custom designed tea cosies! They are THE CUTEST things we have ever seen - one even features the umbrellas from our logo! So talented - we're trying to encourage Barbara to get an Etsy site to share her work so stay tuned!
PS. Our house blend of tea is T2; 3 parts Mont Pear with 2 parts Girlie Grey.

The Near Future
We had the pleasure of visiting The Near Future at Mosman Markets on the weekend. The talented Nicky Law and Julia Lee (soon to be Skinner) have been cooking up some beautiful screen printed tea towels. All designed and made locally they have a beautiful hand crafted feeling. If you can't make it to the markets you can now purchase online... perfect for Mother's day.

Hable Construction
While in the states recently we met Susan of Hable Construction. We feel in love instantly with her Texan accent and soon learnt of her beautiful work. The sisters, Susan and Katherine, named their business after their family construction company. It fits perfectly as the collection of personal and home accessories (designed and made in the US) are so well made and considered - they're built to last! The bold, graphic style of the prints come to life with vibrant colours on thick canvas.
