While out and about we also popped in to visit Susan at Loom in Park Slope - she's got a beautiful mix of fashion, stationery and toys for the little ones...

APPAULED BY THE TREATMENT TO CUSTOMERS AND LANGUAGE
I have lived in Park Slope for 25 years and have never experienced the behavior of the store manager/salesperson (asian women) in any store in Park Slope like the one in Loom. On 03/09/11, I took my 20 year old daughter in to purchase a baggallini bag for school. After she selected a bag marked $45, the salesperson rudely told us the bag was $49.99 that the price just went up today. I asked if she would honor the ticketed price and she said, “No, if you don’t buy, I will change ticket and sell to someone else.” My daughter and I were shocked that she was so independent and my daughter politely said, “Mom, I can wait.” As we were leaving, I mentioned to my daughter she could look online and the salesperson yelled out “F…. OFF.” We honestly could not believe our ears. I politely told her that she was extremely rude and that is no way to talk to or treat potential customers or do business in this neighborhood. WE WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN AND WILL ENCOURAGE OUR NEIGHBORS IN PARK SLOPE TO DO THE SAME. (P.S. I purchased the same exact bag online for $34.97
